Well problems never cease
i followed instructions to an art , from setarip
& doom9.net(Very nice how to`s there)
Regarding the Virtual dub not being able to
load & split a file due to a VBR audio stream.
i followed instructions precisely on decompressing entire audio
stream to an uncompressed wave file , then loading the original
video source & the new wave file in TMPGenc .
The end result (& i did all this 2x`s incase i missed something
& took most of my day) trying to load & split in Virtual Dub
(Latest version) was an error telling me the source video stream
uses a compression algorithm not compatible with avi files . Direct
stream copy cannot be used with this video stream
So it seems audio & video are a problem with this flick , & this
seems a very high quality rip to my eyes and ears(From DVD ?)
i attatch 2 screen shots of the files virtual dub properties
The original .divx properties & the file after audio redone
& then joined in TMPGenc
This has eaten away hours/days of my time & i hope some
wise sage can direct me
TIA -
